LONG service and good conduct awards have been given to four Warrington firemen.
Mark Coleman, station manager at Warrington Fire Station, crew managers John Wilmot and Gary O'Toole from Stockton Heath Fire Station and crew manager Ian Swanson, who is based at Widnes Fire Station and lives in Warrington, have been protecting the public for a combined total of 80 years.
The firefighters were among 14 members of Cheshire Fire Service recognised for having completed 20 years exemplary service.
They were each presented with the Long Service Good Conduct Medal by Cheshire's Lord Lieutenant William Bromley Davenport at a ceremony held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Chester.
The Lord Lieutenant said: "They are an example to the community. Their achievement is worthy of special recognition and I am delighted to have been able to present this prestigious award."
The event was also a chance to celebrate the contribution made by the firemen's families.
Chief Fire Officer Steve McGuirk added: "This award recognises not only the dedication of the officer but also the support and encouragement over the years of their loved ones."
