RESIDENTS concerned over a dangerous junction in Fearnhead are continuing with their bid for safety measures to be put in place.

Homeowners around Templeton Drive say the junction onto Fearnhead Lane is dangerous, as the view for drivers leaving the estate is blocked by cars parked in a layby.

Priestley Park Residents’ Association says lives are being put at risk.

Residents are now completing a survey detailing accidents they have witnessed or been involved in.

It will be sent to Warrington Borough Council in a bid to get a mirror installed opposite the junction.

A spokesman for Warrington Borough Council said: “The collision history at the junction is relatively minor compared to that of other locations in the borough and it is not considered a priority for improvement.

“While every collision is regretable, the council needs to target its limited resources and these are currently being focused on higher priority junctions with greater collision rates.”
