A TEENAGER was attacked by three men for his wallet in Birchwood.
The 17-year-old victim was walking on the footpath on a dpart of Warrington Road between the subway and Kinsale Drive.
Police say he was challenged by the men who punched him twice in the face.
After he fell to the floor one man took his wallet before the gang fled the scene.
The incident happened at 4.40pm on Monday.
The victim sustained swelling to his right ear and jaw, but did not require hospital treatment.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
The first offender is described as aged around 20-years-old, of stocky build, around 5ft 10ins tall and clean shaven.
He was wearing a grey hooded top with the hood up.
The second offender is described as being of mixed race, aged around 17-years-old, 5ft 8ins tall, with short dark hair.
He was wearing a blue hooded top, which was tied tightly around his face.
The third offender is described as white and was wearing a blue hooded top, which was also tied tightly around his face.
DC Matt Gagen said: "The robbery took place late afternoon when it was still light and we would urge anyone who may have been in that area around that time and has seen anything significant to contact us."
Anyone with information can call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 668 of May 13.
