AN ‘inspiration’ to volunteers has been named honorary life president at a Warrington charity.
Pam Thompson, from Westbrook, was awarded the title at Warrington Disability Partnership (WDP) at a Town Hall ceremony.
The 53-year-old was given the award for her ‘devotion and unstinting loyalty’ to her family and husband, Dave Thompson.
Dave is chairman of WDP and the charity says it is through Pam’s support, that he is able to continue his work.
Colleague Rachel Hanlon said ‘’We at team WDP are proud to know Pam, she is an inspiration to us all and very worthy of her new title’.”
A spokesman added: ”Pam is an integral part of the charity’s fundraising team and also works on a voluntary level at the Centre for Independent Living at Beaufort Street.
“Pam is a constant at Disability Awareness week and 2013 will be her 23rd year of volunteering. She keeps the troops fed and watered and is affectionately known as Mrs DAD.”
