PEOPLE and organisations who have excelled in their work with disabled people were rewarded for their efforts at the Town Hall.
More than 100 people attended the Appreciation of Efforts Awards staged by Warrington Disability Partnership (WDP), hosted by Mayor Clr Steve Wright.
Dave Thompson, chairman of trustees, said: “Through our Appreciation of Efforts awards, we are proud to recognise those who have excelled in providing support to local disabled people.
“Team WDP, along with many of our partners are committed to the continued development of services to supporting independence throughout life and work.”
Winners included Warrington Central, the town’s Lions Club and Warrington Borough Council.
Also a winner was Nanette Foy, from the Woodleigh Nursing Home, Callands.
A care worker at the home, she organises events such as tea parties and games and raises money to pay for residents’ birthday and Christmas gifts as well as days out, events and lunches.
