A 36-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with robbing seven pensioners.
Lee Cole, of Grasmere Avenue Orford, appeared at Warrington Magistrates' Court on Saturday morning charged with robbery.
The elderly women whose ages range from 71 to 87-years-old all had their handbags snatched in separate incidents in the space of a week.
All of the attacks happened during the day, six in Orford and one in Grappenhall.
Cole was arrested on Thursday fol lowing a manhunt by detectives in Warrington. Two other men and a woman were also arrested but released without charge. Cole, who was remanded in custody, will next appear at Warrington Crown Court on Friday.
