SCHOOLS all over the town celebrated harvest time by donating parcels of food and other goods to the needy.
At St Lewis' Primary School, in Croft, children donated rice, pasta, tuna and Weetabix. They will be delivered via the charity Jacob's Well, directly to people still affected by the Pakistan earthquake.
At St Peter's Primary School in Woolston, the school concentrated on the needy closer to home, donating food parcels to St Joseph's Family Centre as well as supplying aid to CAFOD, Catholic Aid For Overseas Development and shoeboxes filled with provisions to the Rotary Club for distribution to eastern Europe.
Meanwhile, children from Longbarn Primary and Green Lane Special School celebrated harvest time together with a special service at Christ Church, Padgate.
