Maisie Williams has said shooting Doctor Who has been “crazy”.
The Game Of Thrones star has been filming her as-yet-undisclosed role on the BBC sci-fi show.
“Compared to a lot of the fans of the show, I’m not a fan but I feel I am a fan of it. It’s mental. It’s crazy,” she said.
The 18-year-old actress, best known for playing Arya Stark in Game Of Thrones, admitted she has struggled to get to terms with the lingo.
“Everything is very fast-paced and it’s kind of hard to keep up with all the dialogue and the words I’ve never heard before. It’s fun, really good fun,” she added.
Maisie – who celebrated her birthday on the Doctor Who set on April 15 – said the role may endear her more to sci-fi fans.
“Sci-fi fans are insane. There’s no other genre that get fans like sci-fi does, so it’s nice to have those behind me,” she said.
She joked she deserved more light-hearted fare, following Game Of Thrones, Channel 4 drama Cyberbully and her new film, The Falling, in which she plays a schoolgirl prone to fainting fits.
“They’re not exactly easy stories for the character, so maybe I should do something more light-hearted. I would like to do comedy,” she said.
“I’ve always love watching comedy films and always enjoyed being a bit of a clown at school and making my friends laugh, but I think it has to come at the right time.
The Falling is in cinemas now.
