A ONE-DAY blues festival is coming to Warrington headlined by Joanne Shaw Taylor.
The Gig Cartel will be presenting Summertime Festival at Parr Hall on Saturday, July 15,
Joanne, who was discovered by Eurythmics' Dave Stewart when she was 16, was recently seen on BBC2’s Later with Jools Holland following the release of her latest album, Wild, which entered the UK album charts at number 20.
The British Blues Award-winner was also described by American blues rock icon Joe Bonamassa as a 'superstar in waiting'.
Also on the bill are Stevie Nimmo, Bad Touch, and Xander and the Peace Pirates.
Stevie Nimmo, from Glasgow, is a veteran of the blues circuit having been recording and touring for the last two decades.
Bad Touch are a new rock band from Norfolk, who appeared on Planet Rock's Roadstars tour which earned them recognition as ones to watch for 2017.
And Xander and the Peace Pirates are Liverpool boys who will open the show with a combination of soul, blues and rock.
