GOLDEN Square's Kids' Summer Cinema is coming back for a 'sequel'.

Between August 14 and September 5, family-friendly films will be shown on the big screen at Old Market Place for free.

They will be shown at 11am on selected Saturdays and Sundays.

Earlier this year, shopping centre director Ian Cox told us making more use of Golden Square's all-weather outdoor space was part of a plan to help recover from the pandemic and lockdown periods.

A spokesman for Golden Square said: "With the summer and the school holidays just around the corner, keep your eyes peeled for loads of ways to spend it having fun right here.

"There’s the return of the much-loved Kids' Summer Cinema, packed with family-friendly flicks that everyone will enjoy."

No pre-booking is required for the free screenings with socially distanced seating available on a first-come first-served basis.
