JOY HILTON Wife of John Hilton, died on Monday 8th February 21, aged 78 in Warrington Hospital. Joy, born in Bold Heath, grew up in Whiston and spent most of her life in Great Sankey and for the last 8 years lived in Daresbury so had lived in Warrington area most of her life. She was first employed at Mrs Clarkes Food Store in Huntley Street, Sankey Bridges and then at Marks and Spencer for 37 happy years. Joy joined a group of ladies and raised money for the Roy Castle Charity in Liverpool, organising Charity Balls and Fundraisers. Joy loved spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren and in recent years her great grandchildren. Joy also enjoyed her holidays abroad with John and together they had visited Cape Town, Mombasa, Caribbean, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Cuba, Australia, France, Spain and Italy. Joy leaves her husband of 54 years John, her brother Robin and sister Sue, her son Mark and daughter Mandy, grandchildren Zach, Luke, Joe and Ellie and great grandchildren Layla and Theo along with daughter in law Lee and son in law Adam, sister in law Joyce and brother in law Jim and lots of nieces and nephews. A celebration of Joy's life will be held at 11.00am on Tuesday 2nd March at Walton Lea. Celebrant, Yvonne Hopkins will officiate. The family respectfully request no flowers, however if you wish to make a donation to Diabetes UK instead that would be gratefully accepted.
