Joan Vansteenwinckel

Am I so sad to be reading this, I cared very much about Joan and have been trying to contact or arrange to visit for a while. Unfortunately over the past year I’ve only been able to leave messages to pass on to Joan with the care staff. I was Joan’s hairdresser for the last few years and I had so much time and love for her, I visited her with a present at Christmas and when I moved on to my first home she bought me a moving in present and always treated the salon to Christmas and Easter gifts, we all were so very fond of Joan and would always escort her to a taxi or the bus after her hair appointments. Joan and I also had a few phone conversations in between her visits. She would often say how she looked forward to our chats and appointments and the feeling was mutual. I wish I had known about the funeral as I’d love to have paid my respects. Rest peacefully Joan, you will be missed by so many people and were loved by many too. I send my deepest sympathies to her family, who she would often say how much she loved. Xx
