BETTY MANNION Betty Mannion, widow of Wilfred Mannion died on the 20th of July 2019 aged 93 at Callands HC1 Care Home. Mrs Mannion was one of seven children, born in Latchford and lived in Warrington all her life. She was employed by Burton Shirt Works as a machinist. She also worked at Richmond's Gas Stoves, Rylands Wire Works and Mrs Mac's Fish, Fruit and Veg shop on Padgate Lane, then finally as a cleaner at Oakwood Primary School. Betty enjoyed socialising with friends and loved a family party. She also enjoyed knitting and singing in the St Oswalds church choir. Betty was a member of St Oswalds Pensioners club and at time her late husband Wilfred was the treasurer. She leaves a son, two daughters, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A service was held on the 2nd of August at St Oswalds RC church, followed by internment at Fox Covert officiated by Deacon Tony Kerrigan. The family would like to thank Mayfield care team, Thelwall Grange Care Home and Callands HC1 Care Home. We would also like to thank everyone for the kind thoughts and donations to the Alzheimer's Society. Arrangements were made by Houghtons Funeral Service.
