OUR PRIDE & JOY ADE SHEPHERD Ade Shepered former pupil of Woolston High School joined the Royal Navy aged 17years old 25th July 1988 and is still serving 33 years on, achieving the rank of Warrant Officer (WO1). He has also trained as Marine Commando. He started as a A.E.M Junior Mechanic. It's navy all day long! He served on HMS Ocean, a helicopter ship. He has made and kept friends all over the word. He has been a keen a cyclist since he was 13, doing 80-100 miles each trip, and has a collection of at a dozen or so bikes. and has cycled through Brittany France, Belgium and Norway. He was awarded the Queens Meritorious Honour for service to Community and Country
