WARRINGTON under 15s narrowly fell to defeat at home against Leicester-based Ashby.
Despite early tries from Nathan Bass, Leo Zheng and two long-range efforts form Jack Darbyshire and Jim Hartill, the visitors scored twice before half time to set the scores at 22-12.
Injuries plagued Warrington's pack in the second half, allowing Ashby to score three drive-over tries from the ruck.
Jude Lightfoot pulled one back late on, but the visitors held for victory.
Warrington’s second team comfortably defeated Widnes 50 – 7, with a Benny Hartill hat-trick, brace from Owen Hemmings and further scores by Jack Darbyshire and Nathan Bass seeing them home.
