IT is not very often I find myself agreeing with Warrington Borough Council but I did when reading last week’s Warrington Guardian (January 10).
The departure of Marks and Spencer from the high street was a real blow to Warrington town centre.
So the council is to be praised for coming up with a plan to get the unit used again.
Golden Square is doing rather well, despite what is happening elsewhere in the country.
But it remains a real shame that this unit remains ‘boarded up’.
I look forward to another shop opening up and further boosting Warrington.
