A WOMEN'S institute (WI) group in Appleton has welcomed a new president for 2019.
Park Appleton W1 will be under new leadership with Ann Malone taking over the role from Gwyneth Richardson who has served the group for the last four years.
Gwyneth took the WI forward by having a large presence on social media and increasing membership numbers.
Under Ann’s new leadership, the group plan to have more social outings to the theatre, cinemas and other attractions along with a varied programme of speakers and events.
The group meet every second Monday of the month at 7.30pm, at Appleton Parish Hall, on Dudlow Green Road, after it was founded in 1963.
It has since built up a thriving community of around 65 members and prides itself on being a trusted place for women, run by women of all generations and giving people the opportunity to share experiences and help the Appleton and Warrington community.
For membership and WI information, call Ann on 07714363072.
