EVAN Gumbs has returned for a third loan spell at Warrington Town.

The versatile defender/midfielder joins on a month-long deal from League Two side Tranmere Rovers, with the 21-year-old set to stay at Cantilever Park until January 19.

Gumbs has had two successful loan spells with Yellows since manager Paul Carden took charge, with the latest being in the early stages of last season.

His arrival is a timely boost for Town ahead of a gruelling Christmas schedule.

He is available to make his debut in tomorrow's home game against Buxton – the first of four games in 10 days for Carden's side.
