HAVING sat in an half hour queue to get to Stockton Heath tip on Sunday I am left wondering quite how the council can be considering closing the facility?
Indeed the queue was so large that people were stopped on Sandy Lane trying to enter the site.
When I got there, one of the skips was closed because it was so full.
If the tip does close, all those cars will be forced to drive to Woolston or Gatewarth, meaning more traffic on the roads and greater air pollution.
When will the council do something positive for south Warrington?
This tip is a vital facility for people who living in the area and needs protecting at all costs.
I hope councillors make the right decision for the future.
