TOM at 101 in Stockton Heath has been taken over by the team behind Mr Lau’s.
The London Road eatery, first opened by Tom Rogers and his sons in 2004, has permanently shut its doors.
But the restaurant will now reopen as Harvey’s Restaurant, Bar and Grill having been taken over by the owners of Mr Lau’s, YYE Group.
A spokesman for YYE said: “Harvey’s Restaurant, Bar and Grill will be offering a classic British, European-style menu with a hint of pan-Asian.
“We will be sourcing the very finest quality, grass-fed, dry-aged steaks and the freshest seafood available and a few new chefs.”
Harvey’s will open on Monday, November 26 – operating from midday to midnight seven days a week.
A statement posted on Tom at 101’s website said: “Tom at 101 has now closed.
“Thank you to all our loyal customers over the years, we will miss you.
“All the best, Tom.”
