CHILDREN at Sacred Heart Primary School have been in full voice at the start of the new term.
The youngsters at the Fox Street school have won a silver Sing Up award for their efforts.
The national awards aim to recognise schools that put singing at the heart of school life and support those who try to achieve this.
The Sing Up awards can motivate a whole school to work together towards a common goal while taking part in an activity that everyone can enjoy.
Staff are also encouraged to be aware of the benefits of singing for the children.
The award was sent to the school in July.
