REPAIRS to Warrington Museum and Art Gallery's roof could cost up to £3 million.
Concerns have been raised over the 'alarming' damage to the roof covering Warrington Museum and Art Gallery and central library, on Museum Street.
In 2015, it was revealed a £5 million Heritage Hub could be opened in the library building in 2019.
But uncertainty has surrounded the proposed scheme.
Warrington Borough Council has responded to concerns.
A spokesman said: "We remain committed to the delivery of a Heritage Hub and we are working hard to develop the plans.
"Any repairs to the roof of the building would form part of these plans."
If the hub is built, costs are expected to increase from the estimated figure put forward in 2015.
