SIXTH formers from Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester make a welcome return to Wilmslow United Reformed Church on Thursday, February 8.
Operatic singers from the school are to perform a lunchtime recital at the URC between midday and 1pm.
The recital is keenly anticipated as it is a repeat of the visit to the church a year ago by sixth form students at Chetham’s.
The Chetham’s group have been preparing for several weeks for an annual operatic concert at their school.
They will be accompanied for their Wilmslow performance by their tutor, internationally-renowned soprano Margaret Macdonald.
It will be their last performance before their full dress rehearsal at the school.
Tickets are £5, which includes coffee from 11.30am, with the recital beginning at midday. Tickets are available from the church office or on the door.
