ALDERLEY Edge's seconds were defeated at Macclesfield.
David Johnson, 36, Adam Wildig, 34, Jonathan Usher, 32, and Ashray Bhamdipati, 25, contributed to Edge's 162 all out but Macclesfield passed that mark in the 45th over with 164 for 6.
Andrew Moores, 74 not out, proved particularly stubborn.
