IN response to J Butler's letter last week about the lack of mother and baby parking spaces, I too have been ticketed at Riverside Retail Park for using an otherwise empty disabled bay rather than walk across a busy car park with four children.
The ticket doesn't come from the council or the police but rather a private company that makes its money from these tickets.
The manager at Next was sympathetic but was unable to do anything about it; most annoying seeing as it effectively hired the company which ticketed me while I was in its store spending a small fortune on children's clothes.
