While I am in the front line for preserving Warrington's history, I think that the Parr Hall is a waste of money. I watched a ballet there in the past and despite the company themselves being excellent, the Parr Hall badly let them down.
It is so sub-standard and the seating arrangements are appalling. Anyone unfortunate enough to be anywhere but the front can kiss goodbye to seeing anything that is going on. I always go to Manchester now where it is a pleasure to go to the theatre. In a town like ours that is growing so fast we need a decent theatre and then, instead of going out of town to watch shows, people can do it in their own town with decent facilities.
I cannot believe that it has been subsidised by £600,000 last year. It's time the borough council started to listen to the people of Warrington.
