WARRINGTON Borough Council has erected signage at Green Lane, Padgate indicating that 12 weeks work and no doubt thousands of pounds are to be spent installing cycle ways in Woolston Linear Park.
Under the present climate is this really necessary or indeed viable?
As the majority of cyclists and indeed pedestrians will have to negotiate the patchwork quilt of pot holes and poor road repairs that is Green Lane to reach the park, would this money be better spent on resurfacing Green Lane and its footpaths, thereby making the area a lot safer for all?
