I AM contacting you with reference to the Grappenhall Heys housing plans, regarding the fact that there are supposedly 250 new houses to be built (Warrington Guardian, September 5).
Nowhere have I seen or read anything regarding any infrastructure that will be established to support this development.
Most households now have two vehicles, and sometimes even more, and so that means at least 500 extra cars using one road in and out.
Everybody who knows the area understands that getting in and around the area can at times be a nightmare.
So an extra 500 cars will surely cause considerable problems. I know that they are not going to be all driven at the same time.
There is also no mention of shops. What about schools, doctors, etc?
Anyway, Redrow will not be too concerned, because no doubt affordable housing will be kicked into the long grass because it realises that it would not deem the development profitable.
