I HAVE just seen your article on black bins not being emptied on Dudley Street because of blocked access.
This happened to me last Thursday down Helsby Street.
Everyone else’s bin was collected, both my neighbours either side of me, and mine wasn’t emptied.
They stated the same saying they didn’t have access due to a building being built on land opposite my house, the old scout hut.
But they managed to empty every single bin but mine.
Because of limited parking because of this building being built, we struggle to get parked as it is.
They knocked on my door at 7am and didn’t get an answer, which is why they left my bin.
I contacted Warrington Borough Council on multiple occasions and asked for crews to return to empty my bin, but it refused.
I have CCTV of the binman walking past my bin but collecting and returning both my neighbours either side of me.
I’ve had to pay a company to come and collect my bin.
I was furious and wasn’t prepared to wait another two weeks for it to be emptied.
Let’s hope this isn’t going to be a regular occurrence because of this building work going ahead over the way.
