SO, Warrington South MP Andy Carter was on a shortlist of nine for a safe Tory seat more than 200 miles away in the south east.
The figure of 200 original applicants reminds me of the words ‘drowning rats’ and ‘sinking ship.’
Whatever the result for Mr Carter, Warrington South can celebrate his departure with relish.
