I VISITED Christ Church Cemetery in Padgate recently to lay some flowers on my father’s grave on what have been his 70th birthday.
I would like to pass on my gratitude to the people who maintain the grounds.
In what can be a difficult place to go to, the cemetery is clean, the pathways are clear and there are some lovely areas to sit and pay your respect.
My father is buried with his parents, and I am sure my auntie and brother would echo my sentiments in saying the people who maintain the grounds have created a pleasant peaceful place to visit relatives that have passed.
I may never meet or even see the people, but I would like the message to get to the, whom I am guessing are volunteers, that their hard work is not in vain and is massively appreciated.
