I REFER to the initiative by the Government announced in February this year regarding councils requiring to refund residents £150 of their council tax contributions.
I applied for mine online, as I do not pay my council tax by direct debit, on May 30, when Warrington Borough Council stated non-direct debit customers could apply for their council tax rebate.
That was more than eight weeks ago, and I am still awaiting my refund.
My friend who pays by direct debit is also awaiting his refund. Where is our money?
It is a typical rouse by an overspent, incompetent council to deny us our lawful right to earn interest on our refund money to pay off their debts and financial investment blunders they have made.
