MANY thanks to your mystery columnist, the Fly in the Ointment, for referencing my letter from your March 24 issue.
The 1970s brutalist architecture of New Town House and Quattro was much in vogue when I worked there in the 1980s with the North Cheshire Urban Studies Trust as an illustrator and graphic designer.
How ironic that the Victorian Warrington which stood for more than 100 years should be superseded by New Town House, which is scheduled for demolition after less than 50 years.
