LETTER: How can an increase in our council tax for policing be justified?
I READ with astonishment that the PCC of Cheshire police John Dwyer is seeking an increase in the council tax precept towards policing costs in the forthcoming financial year 2022/23.
I can’t believe the audacity.
The service we receive from the Cheshire Constabulary is far from acceptable. Lack of foot patrols, poor response times, poor public service is just the start Mr Dwyer.
Before considering putting our council tax up you need to raise the inadequate service levels we are receiving at present.
