YET more new houses planned, meaning more people and more patients for an already cramped and overcrowded hospital. We are told that a bid has been placed for a new hospital.
May I ask where this proposed hospital is to be built? There is no room for a major development on the current site. Nor have we been informed that the council has earmarked a very large site for a new development. To me the one possible location is the complete Fiddlers Ferry power station site.
Our councillors should pay a visit to the hospital at St Helens to see the amount of land required.
Without a suitable site any Cheshire development will go to Leighton. Like Warrington they have a full site, but are surrounded by undeveloped fields.
For once can the councillors think about the residents, and sort out a suitable site for a much needed hospital development in Warrington?
