LETTER: Fond memories of the bustling old Warrington Market of the 1970s
WITH reference to the photo of Warrington Market (Warrington Guardian, December 30) the lady serving at the vegetable stall is my mum, Kathy Yates.
She spent many years in the market working for Harry Wilkinson, Jim Lally and Taylors book stall before getting her own stall.
My mum also worked at the cinema for many years starting when it was the Ritz.
I was a minor and free ice cream was a treat.
Perhaps page 22 should be renamed The Kathy Yates page!
