I NEED to bring this to the attention of all persons using Warrington’s Own Buses.
Within this climate of uncertainty I thought it would be their priority to at least keep buses running to a timetable.
We are pensioners and use the bus into town, when alighting at the depot we checked the return times not to miss a bus.
On returning to get the 7.25pm No 14 to Sankey at 7.15pm at station 17 the LED sign said next bus 9.01pm.
We again checked the timetable at station 17 and it states the next 14 should be 19.25.
Two others were waiting for the 7.25, I walked to the transport counter to be told ‘the council is responsible’ and was handed an up to date timetable.
Dated September 6, the printed timetable had not been changed.
Vulnerable people could and have been left stranded and could become prey while waiting nearly two hours for the next bus.
