YOUR ‘big debate’ opinion section made me realise that the art of sarcasm is alive and well (Warrington Guardian, September 2).

All of your correspondents echo my own view.

Namely that Warrington is fast becoming a characterless wasteland with all history and tradition extinguished in favour of building new apartments, come what may.

On a separate note, viewing your photo from 1963 of the Rolling Stones at the Parr Hall made me realise that the late Chris Culleton’s pictures should now be shared widely.

Not only in his memory but in tribute to the memory of Charlie Watts and for the group’s own archives.
