HAVE you tried driving around Warrington recently?
Can’t get anywhere without traffic cones and roadworks.
Then there was Creamfields causing chaos around half of the town last weekend.
This weekend I see Bridge Foot is closed for an hour each night as Neighbourhood empties.
Then I see signs everywhere warning of road closures and disruption due to the Tour of Britain cycle race on a Thursday afternoon.
Sure that will be a treat when I am sat in traffic.
My question is, what is the point of all this stuff.
Who is it benefiting?
It seems to be we are simply creating more and more traffic at the expense of the average ratepayer.
And as for all the roadworks, why wasn’t this done during the majority of the past 18 months when nobody has been on the roads?
