LETTER: 'Why are members of staff at recycling centre glued to their phones?'
I HAVE to say I read the recent letters about Stockton Heath tip with one eyebrow raised.
Was it really that bad?
Surely you just drive up and unload your rubbish?
Well I had to visit the site this week and had a couple of questions.
The only member of staff I could see on duty was glued to his phone watching football highlights.
It took quite some skill then to grunt in acknowledgement of my questions without ever lifting his eyes from the screen.
