WELL, the new bypass has been open a few months from Chester Road to Winmarleigh Street and we now have roadworks on the Chester Road end.
Some bright spark at Warrington Borough Council forgot to install a small traffic island to allow safe crossing for pedestrians and to distinguish the turn lane into Slutchers Lane.
Who on earth is responsible for that great big boo boo. Sat in traffic there for 30 minutes to get off Walton Road in the heat we have just encountered is not very amusing.
It was also the same in the morning trying to get off Slutchers Lane at the Chester Road end.
Bridge Foot seems a better option.
Planning in Warrington must be done by Private Baldrick as he always had a cunning plan, that was never really feasible.
