LETTER: Would increasing Warburton Toll Bridge fee to 20p be a victory?
THE proposed Warburton toll bridge fee of £1 is a normal approach by businesses who believe that the ordinary people don’t know what they are up to.
I’d like to bet that their original thoughts were for an increase to 20p, which they knew would be contested.
What they are doing with the proposal of £1 is to be seen to argue their case, hopefully having people eventually accepting 20p or above believing they’ve won.
