I AM struggling to understand the council’s logic in reducing the carriage width at the end of Wilson Patten Street from three lanes to two which has resulted in traffic congestion (Warrington Guardian, June 3).
The council informed us that it was to make the crossing safer for pedestrians and cyclists.
Yet at the end of Knutsford Road there are four lanes for pedestrians and cyclists to cross.
Could this junction be phase two of the plan to create more unnecessary traffic congestion?
