IN less than two weeks we’ll be going to the polls to elect a new council.
First of all, I suggest that we look at Warrington Borough Council’s effectiveness.
I recently used the municipal car park at the rear of Bank House.
It’s an absolute disgrace.
There was a wheelie-bin upturned with its contents strewn everywhere.
These included broken bottles, used bricks and bags of waste food, the contents of which had been opened by vermin.
The media has recently highlighted litter left on beaches etc and left for volunteers to clean up.
Perhaps WBC is expecting council tax payers to volunteer for this task?
I don’t expect WBC to defend the indefensible.
Instead, I’d like the director responsible for environmental policy to explain this apparent negligence.
