I HAVE to say I was saddened but not surprised to read the story about the dog being attacked in Grappenhall Heys on your website (Warrington Guardian, April 9).
I regularly see out of control dogs, or simply owners who are unaware of what their dogs are up to.
I have a young daughter who is not confident around animals and regularly we have to lift her up as a dog comes running towards her only to be told ‘don’t worry, my dog loves animals’.
But these animals are not properly controlled.
This poor dog has been attacked and I am sure it will not be the last.
So please owners, keep your dog under control, train them properly and keep them on a lead.
Because these sort of tragic events will just keep on happening if not.
