FOR the past few months it has been interesting to note the rise and fall of new coronavirus cases in Warrington.

Through the summer cases were low, but when we hit autumn they started to rocket.

Following the restrictions when we moved into tier 3 and the subsequent lockdown through November, they have dropped dramatically again.

So my question is, with the reopening of bars and restaurants again followed by the mixing at Christmas, are we not due for a rise in rates again?

Surely by the middle of January and into February the rates will be high again?

I, for one, will not feel safe going to a bar or restaurant (sitting indoors or out) until I have had a vaccine.

I hope I am wrong but this virus has not gone away, despite what it may look like when you look at the behaviour of people.
