I REFER to my previous letter regarding the failure of WBC’s investments and the response by WBC deputy leader Cathy Mitchell refuting this allegation (Warrington Guardian, November 12).
If that is the case Mrs Mitchell then the easy way to confirm this is to produce the accounts of each investment WBC has made.
The investment into Together Energy of £22 million paid off a £10 million loss and only put the company in the black financially for one year at the most.
The £20 million Mrs Mitchell stated that WBC already makes from its investments is a drop in the ocean.
I think raising this issue has hit a nerve with this Labour-controlled council.
The only way we will see the balance sheets is when this Labour council is voted out next year.
