LETTER: Council should be accountable for public money
I REFER to the letter from A Dodd of Fairfield regarding his belief that WBC are clear of any wrong doings of their investments into private companies with council taxpayers’ money (Warrington Guardian, October 22).
This is not the case.
This is public money and WBC should be accountable to the public for the way this money has been invested.
It is quite clear that some or all of them will be a failed investment and the debt will be burdened on the council taxpayer.
It is right WBC is pursued to the maximum for explanations and audit reports in relation to these investments.
