LETTERS: Building a road to help Bridge Foot and 450 houses beggars belief
RE the Slutchers Lane/Chester road bridge.
Great news in the Guardian this week (October 1) that the bridge is now complete. However two points to bring to your attention.
When it was first mooted, it was going to be a bridge with a weir below, to enhance the view around Bridge Foot and Chester road of the mud flats.
Secondly at this time there was no mention of housing. Yes you guessed it.
No weir but 450 houses being built around the Slutchers Lane area. So build a bridge to help Bridge Foot.
Then add approximately 1,000 cars to the road. Beggars belief.
