TODAY I have been to Stockton Heath to do some shopping to support our economy.

Upon entering one shop, I was instructed to wear a face covering.

I have lung damage from repeated bouts of pneumonia, as well as a neurological condition called FND – that is why I am exempt from wearing a mask.

My sister, who was with me, is also exempt due to chronic asthma.

Despite me explaining this to the manager, I was told I could not go in unless I wore a mask.

Having checked the rules I can confirm that you can refuse entry if someone is not wearing a mask unless they are exempt.

I had just been into other shops previously with no issues.

I don’t appreciate being made to feel inferior because I cannot wear a mask, and being refused entry is offensive and degrading.

I will fight this as I was made to feel so small.
